Vice Chair
Preeta George is a dedicated Transitional & Housing Support Coordinator who helps women rebuild their lives after fleeing abuse. With deep expertise in trauma-informed care and a strong understanding of domestic violence dynamics, she provides both practical assistance and emotional support—guiding women toward safety, stability, and empowerment.
Holding an MPhil in Psychology, Preeta began her career as an addictions counselor and later served as a high school psychology teacher in the Middle East. Her professional journey brings together clinical knowledge, cultural awareness, and human insight, allowing her to meet people where they are with empathy and effectiveness.
Preeta is also an active volunteer and a devoted member of her church community. She teaches Sunday school, sings in the church choir, and integrates her faith and values into her approach to service and healing. Whether she is mentoring youth, supporting survivors, or using music to foster connection, she is driven by a deep belief in resilience and dignity.
As the Vice Chair of Disha Foundation of Canada and a founding member, Preeta plays a vital role in shaping the foundation’s programs, values, and community presence. Through her professional expertise, volunteerism, and creative expression, she continues to make a lasting impact—one step, one voice, and one act of kindness at a time.
