Soumya Vijayanathan is a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Analyst (RBA-Ont) and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with strong academic roots in psychology and disability studies. She holds two Master’s degrees—one in Applied Disability Studies from Brock University and another in Psychology from Kerala, India.
With over five years of experience in clinical and community mental health, Soumya has supported children, youth, and adults with developmental disabilities, helping individuals and families through personalized, culturally responsive care. Her work spans schools, clinics, and community spaces, always guided by the belief that mental health is shaped by social and familial systems—not just individual circumstances.
Soumya is deeply passionate about empowering women and children and plays a key role in designing community-centered programs that promote equity, safety, and well-being. She actively mentors a group of young girls, fostering creativity, confidence, and a sense of belonging.
A music lover, fitness enthusiast, and sports fan, she brings energy and warmth into every environment she joins. Her core values—honesty, respect, and integrity—are deeply aligned with Disha Foundation’s mission to build strong, inclusive communities where every voice is heard and every person is treated with dignity and care.
